Ford Explorer/Ranger Steering Stabilizer 1991-1997

With the installation of all lift kits and larger tires it is important to check the condition of your steering stabilizer. If the stabilizer is worn or is leaking it should be replaced.

Steering stabilizers are designed to restrain "bump steering" and front end vibration, giving added life to tires, ball joints, and other steering components. A multiple stabilizer kit is recommended for vehicles equipped with a snow plow, winch, or 35" tires and above.

This kit comes with new Pro-Ride coil springs for the front. The box kit includes a dropped pitman arm for steering correction, radius arm drop brackets, axle pivot drop brackets, bump stop extensions, and sway bar drop brackets. The rear is lift with a 4" block and an add-a-leaf to bring life back to your old worn out springs.

Note:
Front ball joint alignment cams may be required for alignment.
Models equipped with two piece driveshaft will require lowering of the carrier bearing crossmember.
Models with CV joint type drive shaft must be converted to exposed jont shaft.
The dual stabilizer available in the options will not work on vehicles equipped with a front anti-sway bar.
